Chicago

We took the train to Chicago…Four kids and me. We found a nice hotel looking over the Chicago river. Quite elegant.

I was planning on us doing a lot of walking, but the weather was too hot…in the hundreds!

We did see the museum of Natural History and the Aquarium and navy Pier. But by the time we got to hard Rock Café, BTJ had collapsed. He was recently diagnosed with asthma and the heat and humidity caused him to collapse. The kids got trinkets, but then we took a taxi to our hotel where we stayed and watched Jim Carrey movie..AArg!

We did go to a Cubs game. Fortunately our seats were not in the sun, but I spent most of the game running to the water fountain to keep getting wet cloths to put on our faces. I wondered then what I would do if I collapsed. What would happen to the kids? But Chris was about 12 or 13 and I guess he would have known to call someone. But we were safe!
