2013 Double Double

One night before during her birthday month, Ella, exclaimed, “Mom, I am going to be 11 and you are 44. We are both Double Doubles!” Within a few minutes, she went through the family and realized, Kim (55), and Grandma (77) were also Double Doubles. Clearly, we needed to celebrate!

We planned Double Double Weekend in Chicago. We took an architectural riverboat tour, saw a pre-Broadway showing of Big Fish, toured Millennium Park, and discovered Ella’ now favorite Chicago breakfast eatery, Wildberry Pancakes. It was only once we were in Chicago that realized we neglected to invite another Double Double, Big Tom Jaede (22). So sorry, BTJ!

We are looking forward to 2024 for Double Double Part 2 when the full complement of Double Doubles will once again hit the road… and stress Kim out with our jay-walking tendencies.
